TEFLON LINERS

FK Bearings offers self-lubricating PTFE (teflon) liners on nearly all of their rod ends and spherical bearings. The PFTE liner is chemically bonded to the inner diameter of the race. This liner offers a very high load carrying capacity and has greatly increased dynamic and wear characteristics. The operating temperatures of these liners range from -65° to +325° F.

Any rod end or bearing with the letter "T" already includes the Teflon liner (ex: CM6T). AED stocks several series of FK Rod Ends with teflon, but most are "special order." Please allow at least 1 to 2 weeks for shipping.

The ULT Static Radial Loads do not change when Teflon Liners are added to any 3-piece rod ends.

If a particular rod end series cannot be produced with a Teflon liner, please check with AED to see if a Grease, or Zerk fitting may be used instead. The factory recommends Teflon liners over grease fittings whenever possible.

When ordering teflon liners:

• Please add $3.00 to the price of the Rod End and the letter "T" to the suffix of the part number. Example: JMX12T
  
• For sizes 14-32, add $4.75 to price and "T" to the suffix of the part number.

 GREASE FITTINGS

Grease fittings (also referred to as "zerk" fittings) are generally offered when Teflon liners cannot be supplied. Grease fittings reduce the ULT Static Radial Loads on all FK rod ends by approximately 30%.

AED does not stock any FK rod ends with grease fittings. All are "special order," and typically require about 2 weeks to ship. Rod ends with grease fittings are designated with a "Z" at the end. (i.e. CM6Z).

When ordering grease fittings:

• Please add $1.25 to the price of the Rod End and the letter "Z" to the suffix of the part number. Example: JF5Z
  
• For size 16, add $2.00 to price and "Z" to the suffix of the part number
